On September 20, 2022, Contra Costa County identified an email phishing incident that potentially resulted in unauthorized access to emails and attachments in two employee email accounts. An unauthorized party may have accessed these accounts between September 19-20, 2022, affecting approximately 15,591 individuals.
Do you qualify?
All persons with California mailing addresses who received a letter entitled "NOTICE OF DATA BREACH" from the County of Contra Costa on or about May 10, 2023.

You must submit a valid claim form online to receive settlement benefits. By submitting a claim, you give up the right to sue the County of Contra Costa separately for the legal claims this settlement resolves. The deadline to submit a claim was January 20, 2025 (now passed).
