What happened

Katz Nannis & Solomon, P.C. experienced a cyberattack on or about November 21, 2023, in which an unauthorized individual allegedly accessed computer systems and obtained files containing private information including names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, medical information, and financial account information. The defendant denies wrongdoing but agreed to settle to avoid litigation costs and risks.

What you can claim

• Identity Theft Protection Services

  $1M each

  All Class Members may claim three years of identity theft protection services provided by three credit monitoring bureaus, which includes up to $1 million in identity theft insurance.

• Reimbursement for Out-of-Pocket Expenses

  $275 each

  Class Members may submit a Claim for reimbursement of documented out-of-pocket losses reasonably traceable to the Data Incident, capped at $275 for current or former clients and dependents. Eligible expenses include bank fees, phone charges, postage, credit freeze fees, copying/faxing fees, identity theft protection services fees, and gasoline for local travel.

• Lost Time Reimbursement

  Class members who spent at least one full hour dealing with the Data Incident may claim up to 5 hours at $20 per hour for lost time, included in the $275 cap for ordinary losses.

• Reimbursement for Actual Monetary Loss

  $2,500 each

  Class Members who suffered an actual, documented monetary loss as a result of the Data Incident may claim reimbursement, capped at $2,500 for current or former clients and dependents. Losses must be actual, documented, unreimbursed, more likely than not caused by the Data Incident, and occurred between November 21, 2023, and September 5, 2025.

Who is in the class

The Settlement Class includes all persons residing in the United States who were sent a Notice Letter notifying them that their Private Information was compromised in the Data Incident.
