Mason Construction Data Breach Settlement

What happened

Mason Construction, LLC suffered a cyberattack on its computer systems in January 2024. Certain files containing private information such as names, Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, government-issued ID numbers, financial information, medical information, and health insurance information may have been accessed. Mason Construction denies wrongdoing, and the court has not decided the merits of the case.

Do you qualify?

Anyone whose private information was implicated in the January 2024 Mason Construction data incident. If you received a notice in the mail about the data incident or settlement, Mason Construction's records indicate you are a class member.

What you can claim

Read from the official settlement notice. Confirm the terms that apply to you on the administrator's site before filing.

• Credit Monitoring Services

  All Class Members are eligible to enroll in two years of CyEx Identity Defense Complete, which includes real-time credit monitoring, dark web scanning, comprehensive public records monitoring, and $1 million in identity theft insurance.

• Ordinary Losses (out-of-pocket expenses)

  $500 each

  Class Members who incurred actual, documented out-of-pocket expenses due to the Data Incident between January 6, 2024, and June 1, 2026, can be reimbursed for expenses such as credit monitoring fees, ID replacement costs, and postage to contact banks.

• Extraordinary Losses (identity theft or fraud)

  $5,000 each

  Class Members who lost money because of identity theft or fraud that was probably caused by the Data Incident between January 6, 2024, and June 1, 2026, can claim reimbursement up to $5,000.00, provided they attempted to prevent the loss or recover the money.

• Lost Time

  $75 each

  Class Members who spent time responding to the Data Incident may claim up to three hours at $25.00 per hour for tasks such as changing passwords, investigating suspicious activity, or researching the Data Incident.

• Alternative Cash Payment

  $55 each

  Class Members may instead claim a one-time $55.00 cash payment without providing any proof or explanation, as an alternative to the other cash payment options.

Who is in the class

All individuals residing in the United States whose Private Information was impacted in the Data Incident discovered by Mason Construction in January 2024, including all those individuals who received notice of the Data Incident.

How to file

Submit a valid and timely Claim Form online at the settlement website, or download the form and mail it to the Settlement Administrator. The deadline to submit is June 1, 2026.
