AT&T Data Breach Settlement
AT&T announced two data incidents: on March 30, 2024, AT&T-specific data fields were found on the dark web (AT&T 1 Data Incident); and on July 12, 2024, limited data was illegally downloaded from an AT&T workspace on a Snowflake cloud platform (AT&T 2 Data Incident). The data exposed included names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, dates of birth, account passcodes, billing account numbers, Social Security numbers, and call interaction data. AT&T settled the consolidated lawsuits without admitting liability or wrongdoing.

Apple iPhone Device Performance Litigation Settlement
In 2016, Apple announced certain iPhones had a battery problem causing unexplained shutdowns. Plaintiffs allege Apple knew about the defect but failed to disclose it properly. Instead, Apple released an iOS update that reduced functionality and battery life, allegedly pushing customers to purchase new iPhones.

Equifax Data Breach Settlement
On September 7, 2017, Equifax disclosed a data breach that exposed sensitive personally identifying information (names, addresses, birth dates, Social Security numbers) for approximately 143-147 million Americans.
“Recovery” and “exposure” refer to total disclosed settlement funds in associated cases, not money personally won or lost by an attorney. Settlements generally resolve disputed allegations without a finding that either side won. Data comes from public court dockets and may be incomplete.
