USAA Late Fee Litigation Settlement

USAA assessed late fees against policyholders with Maryland insurance policies. Following a Maryland Insurance Commissioner market conduct examination, USAA entered into a Consent Order and refunded the principal amount of late fees but did not include accrued interest and/or gains made on those fees. Plaintiffs allege class members should have received the interest and gains in addition to the principal refund. USAA denies any wrongdoing.
