Nations Direct Mortgage experienced a targeted cyberattack on its computer systems in December 2023 that accessed certain files containing private information including names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, dates of birth, and Social Security numbers. The defendant denies wrongdoing and has agreed to settle to avoid the costs and uncertainties of ongoing litigation.
