What happened
In October 2022, unauthorized third parties gained access to an email security gateway (ESG) that Barracuda Networks provided to Wescom Central Credit Union, potentially exposing the private information of class members. Barracuda has agreed to settle without admitting any liability or wrongdoing.

Documented Ordinary Losses
$500 eachCompensation up to $500 per class member for out-of-pocket monetary losses incurred as a result of the Incident, including unreimbursed bank fees, phone charges, postage, gasoline for local travel, and fees for credit reports or credit monitoring products purchased between October 2022 and the claims deadline.
Lost Time
Compensation for up to 3 hours of lost time at $20 per hour spent dealing with the Incident, available to all Settlement Class Members who submit an attestation affirming time was spent on issues relating to the Incident.
Documented Extraordinary Losses
$1,500 eachCompensation up to $1,500 for proven extraordinary losses that are actual, documented, unreimbursed, more likely than not caused by the Incident, occurred during the specified period, and not already covered by other settlement benefits, provided the class member made reasonable efforts to avoid the loss or seek reimbursement.
Credit Monitoring
All Settlement Class Members are automatically offered a 1-year membership of 3B credit monitoring with at least $1 million in fraud protection through CyEx. Class members will receive codes with their notice and need only enroll and activate the service.
