Compass Group USA, Inc. (Canteen) allegedly charged consumers more than the displayed price for items purchased from certain vending machines when customers used credit, debit, or prepaid cards, without disclosing the extra card-use charges to consumers.
Do you qualify?
Anyone who made one or more purchases from a Canteen "Subject Vending Machine" (vending machines that provided both cash and card payment options and charged more for card purchases) using a credit, debit, or prepaid card in the United States between 2014 and July 9, 2025. Excluded are vending machines that had a cash discount sticker or digital shopping cart displaying both prices at the time of purchase.
