What happened

CenterEdge Software allegedly violated the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA) by collecting and possessing fingerprint data from employees who used fingerprint scanners at point-of-sale systems without providing required disclosures and obtaining written consent. CenterEdge denies any violation, and the court has not decided whether the law was violated.

Do you qualify?

Employees who scanned their fingerprint into a CenterEdge system at a trampoline park or similar entertainment center in Illinois between April 29, 2014 and March 20, 2024. Group 1 includes those already identified by their employer (no claim form needed). Group 2 includes those who worked at Sky Zone Trampoline Park locations in Elmhurst, Aurora, or Joliet, Illinois (must file claim form).

How to file

Group 1 members (already identified) receive payment automatically with no action required. Group 2 members must submit a Claim Form online or by mail with their Claimant ID and verification of fingerprint scanning at a Sky Zone location between April 29, 2014 and March 20, 2024. The deadline to submit is June 24, 2024.
