PowerSchool, Hobsons, Heap, and Chicago Public Schools allegedly non-consensually intercepted students' confidential and sensitive communications while they used the Naviance education technology platform. The defendants allegedly violated privacy laws including the Electronic Communications Privacy Act, California Invasion of Privacy Act, Illinois Eavesdropping Act, and Stored Communications Act. Defendants deny wrongdoing but agreed to settle to avoid litigation costs and uncertainties.

Wyssta Services, Inc. Data Privacy Settlement
Wyssta Services allegedly violated the Electronic Communications Privacy Act and Illinois Eavesdropping Statute by installing and implementing advertising and analytics tracking technologies, such as cookies and pixels, on the Delta Dental member portal (my.deltadentalcoversme.com) without users' knowledge or consent. The defendant denies all allegations and liability.
National Association of Realtors MLS Commission Settlement
The National Association of Realtors and major real estate companies are settling claims that they engaged in anticompetitive practices related to MLS commissions and home sales. The defendants have agreed to pay $28.5 million in settlements, though they admit no wrongdoing.

Naper Grove Vision Care Data Breach Settlement
Naper Grove Vision Care, P.C. experienced a targeted cyberattack on its computer systems in May 2025 (the "Data Incident") in which certain files containing private information were accessed. The files may have contained personal information such as names combined with Social Security numbers and other non-public personally identifiable information. Naper Grove denies wrongdoing.
TBJ Drywall & Taping Wage Settlement
The Illinois Attorney General sued TBJ Drywall & Taping, Inc. for failing to properly pay workers in accordance with Illinois law, including alleged failure to pay overtime wages. The company settled the lawsuit and agreed to pay workers compensation for owed wages and other damages.
