Motorola Solutions and Vigilant Solutions provided law enforcement with facial recognition technology called FaceSearch and access to a booking photo gallery. The lawsuit alleges they violated the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA) by collecting, storing, using, and disclosing individuals' biometric data without complying with the law's requirements. Defendants deny wrongdoing.
