Skidmore College suffered a cybersecurity incident discovered in February 2023 that potentially compromised the private information of students, former employees, and applicants. The college notified affected individuals in or around September 15, 2023, and has agreed to settle the resulting class action lawsuit without admitting wrongdoing.

Anyone residing in the United States who was notified in or around September 15, 2023, that their private information was potentially compromised in the incident, or anyone who was a student, former employee, or applicant of Skidmore College prior to February 15, 2023, and believes their information was involved but did not receive written notice.
How to file
Submit a claim form online or by mail that includes your Unique Class Member ID from the postcard notice sent to you, or if you didn't receive notice, provide non-self-prepared documentation showing you were a student, former employee, or applicant prior to February 15, 2023. The claim deadline is August 11, 2025.
