Apple MacBook Keyboard Settlement

What happened

Apple sold MacBook laptops (Air and Pro models) from 2015-2019 with "butterfly" keyboards that provided a poor typing experience. Many customers had to pay for keyboard repairs due to the defective hardware mechanism under each key.

Do you qualify?

People who purchased a MacBook (Air or Pro) between 2015 and 2019 and had their keyboard repaired during this period.

What you can claim

• Keyboard repair reimbursement

  MacBook owners who had their butterfly keyboards repaired between 2015 and 2019 can receive compensation based on their group number.

• Battery warranty extension

  Subaru owners of 2015-2020 models will have their battery warranty automatically extended.

• Battery-related expense reimbursement

  Subaru owners who already paid for battery issues and related expenses can have their money reimbursed.

• Coffee-Mate cash reimbursement without proof

  $5 each

  Coffee-Mate purchasers without proof of purchase can receive $0.50 per unit purchased up to a maximum of $5.00 per household.

• Coffee-Mate cash reimbursement with proof

  $40 each

  Coffee-Mate purchasers with proof of purchase can receive up to a maximum of $40.00 per household.

• Checked baggage fee refund

  $200 each

  American Airlines passengers who checked bags for flights purchased between Feb. 24, 2017 and April 9, 2020 and qualified for free checked bags can receive full refunds for checked bag fees.

How to file

Check the official settlement to find your group number, which determines your payout amount. Submit your claim before March 6, 2023.
