Illinois Attorney General v. DoorDash - Pay Guarantee Settlement

What happened

DoorDash allegedly violated Illinois consumer protection law by using consumer tips to Dashers as credit toward minimum pay guarantees, while leading consumers to believe their tips would increase Dasher earnings above the promised pay. The settlement provides payments to affected Dashers who worked in Illinois during the relevant period.

Dashers who completed deliveries using DoorDash in Illinois between July 2017 and September 2019, were paid under the Pay Guarantee Model, and received tips on deliveries that were allegedly used by DoorDash to satisfy the Guaranteed Amounts offered on those orders.
